How much time does a course take? Each full credit course in our course catalog is designed to deliver approximately 185 hours of coursework (a Carnegie Unit). This equates to approximately one hour a day, four to five days a week (per course), for 36 weeks. Courses typically follow a semester schedule but students have scheduling flexibility within that period. Half-credit courses are also available.
What is provided with each course? All learning materials required for each course are provided once a student enrolls. Materials may include textbooks, supplemental software, learning guides, and labs—all are provided at no expense to students.
What kinds of course assignments should you expect? Assessments and activities include practice problems, home labs, quizzes, exams, essays, creative writing papers, class discussions, individual and group research projects, and presentations.
